Celebrity Autobiography, created by Eugene Pack with Dayle Reyfel, is a comedy of celebrity memoirs turned theatrical bits. The limited Broadway engagement begins previews May 16, opens May 18 and runs through Aug. 16 at the Shubert. The 90-minute show runs without an intermission and has roots in New York, Los Angeles, London and Sydney, and it previously earned a Drama Desk Award.
King joins an all-star rotating lineup that includes Scott Adsit, Mario Cantone, Andrea Martin, Kenan Thompson, Nia Vardalos and others. Rita Wilson is a co-producer who will also appear; creators Pack and Reyfel are involved onstage as well. Producer Douglas Denoff has said the show’s comedy warranted a Broadway run, and tickets are now available.
