The couple’s journey

The pair met on Love Island USA season 5 in 2023 and left as a couple after finishing third. Bergie said he planned the proposal for more than six months and reflected on hurdles they overcame — long distance, PT school, unemployment and frequent flights — plus countless FaceTime nights that strengthened their bond.

Grateful and emotional

He thanked fans for their support, recalling his dramatic villa path, and promised more posts to come. The announcement follows public anniversary tributes the two shared in August 2024. Bergie is 26 and Taylor is 28.
