Murphy told The Magnificent Others podcast with Billy Corgan that laws set aside a portion of a child actor’s pay in a Coogan account. In her case, 10% of what she earned from more than 100 episodes of Bewitched was put into savings. Her father, an investor, helped that money grow, while the remainder went to agents and managers. She says that 10% turned out to be a meaningful nest egg.
