Audit Targets 'Shady' Awards

Inspector General Joseph Cuffari announced an audit of DHS grants and contracts awarded "by any means other than full and open competition" for fiscal 2025. Cuffari has said some DHS bosses impeded his work. A DHS spokesperson did not confirm or deny the probe but noted such audits are congressionally mandated.
